MCJORTC MISSION
To provide a course in Leadership Education, to develop informed citizens, strengthen character by the teaching of discipline, and develop an understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship.

Did You Know? Fact 1 MCJROTC stands for Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps.
Fact 2
MCJROTC is a jointly sponsored Marine Corps and secondary school citizenship and leadership education program offered to students 14 years and older in grades 9-12.
Fact 3 MCJORTC is an educational program. Cadets are under no military obligation.
Fact 4 The objectives of the MCJROTC program are: 1. To develop informed and responsible citizens 2. To develop leadership skills 3. To strengthen character 4. To promote and understanding of the basic requirements of national security 5. To help form habits of self-discipline 6. To develop respect for an understanding of the need for constituted authority in a democratic society
Fact 5 MCJROTC cadets are provided with uniforms, books, training aids and other types of equipment paid for by the Marine Corps.
Fact 6 MCJROTC encourages cadet participation on Drill and Marksmanship teams, group athletics and other extra-curricular activities.
